Set Goals

There are a lot of people who enter into this lifestyle (we were a couple of them) who make their plan SO strict and so intense that it sets them up for failure. Set your plan and your goals to win, be realistic, reward yourself for doing things approximately right in the beginning and work on from there. You will have days where you don’t workout or don’t eat according to your plan and that’s ok. Pick yourself up and start again. You have to remember you’re learning and conditioning yourself to do something differently. It’s not always going to go perfectly. Just make sure you are always improving the consistency of what you’re doing, we found this is what works for us.

The key to success is to make it enjoyable; and that’s where this program comes in.  Not only do we share with you where we are at with our food plans and tricks we have picked up over the years, but there’s a beginner, intermediate and advanced workout plan that has been created to sculpt lean, toned legs and a nice round butt!

We are not here to tell you what to believe, but we can share with you what we’ve learned and the tools that get results so that you can find what works for you. When you set your mind to achieving a specific goal, you can reach it. If you are not making the growth you would like to be making and you are certain you can be making, it could be because your goals are not clearly defined. In order to set a clearly defined goal, just remember to be SMART. A SMART goal is something that is Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Tangible.

How to best keep each other accountable and motivated

Working out with a friend can make all the difference in the world to your workout. Just being there and planning your workouts is the first step to keeping each other accountable! You’re less likely to hit snooze or go home for the night if you know you’ll be leaving your workout buddy in the lurch. Working out with someone who has the same goals as you is also a great way to stay motivated, which it why we have setting goals as as an important tip!

Keep hydrated!

No matter if you are just starting your health and fitness journey or you’re a weekend warrior, keeping hydrated is so important for your body. During exercise it reduces fatigue, fuels your muscles and boosts energy. If you don’t keep hydrated before during and after a workout, your body can get dehydrated which can affect your overall health and how well you exercise. Your body is made up of 60% water and we lose that through sweat and breathing so it’s really important to keeping topping that up! The best way to understand how much to drink is by responding to what your body tells you. If you feel thirsty your body is already starting to show signs of dehydration. Make sure to take a water bottle with you every time you workout.

Eating out & drinking

For anyone wanting to maximize their results on the 30 day program its all about keeping everything in moderation. If you want a glass of wine, have one. Don’t be afraid to go out over the weekend and socialize, but just don’t go overboard. Moving into a healthy lifestyle (or if you’re already in one) is about balance and we live by this mantra. We love working out and eating healthy, but we also love catching up, having a drink and eating chocolate licorice together. The more and more you push yourself to be so strict with EVERYTHING, the more you will struggle enjoying this lifestyle and succeed on it.

Stretching

We have always believed in stretching before and after a workout to ensure our muscles are strong and flexible. It’s not just for runners or gymnasts either! Stretching can help keep your muscle fibres healthy and it’s important to maintain good range of motion in your joints at all times. Without good range of motion, muscles can become tight, and when you call on a workout, they can be weak and unable to extend which puts us at risk of strains and muscle damage. Ease into it and don’t go too hard – you don’t want to do any damage during stretching!
